For American weddings there are traditions that most brides abide by. For instance the white wedding gown worn by most brides-to-be. Depending on the religious belief of the bride and groom the dress varies. In western culture following the middle ages suggested that depending on the brides wealth the dress would become more elaborate, elegant and expensive fabrics to show off the money of the brides. It did not become apparent to wear white on a brides wedding day until Queen Victoria married Albert of Saxe-Coburg. From then on afterwards every bride had followed in the queen's footsteps. Many believed that the color white was to symbolize purity, but during that age it was in fact blue that had symbolized purity.
Another tradition we got is something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. It is to represent the past, and future. Blue is to represent the purity in the relationship.
